Using E-bank authorisation tools

Using the E-bank for the first time

When using the E-bank for the first time, you will need the following:

  • User code. It is mentioned in E-bank’s agreement. One copy of agreement Bank issues you after it is mutually signed.
  • The envelope with your password. The envelope will contain your first password, which will be made up of a combination of letters and numbers. Once you enter it, you’ll be asked to replace it with another password that is acceptable to you. You’ll use that new password each time that you visit the E-bank.
  • An authorisation tool – a code card or code calculator. Select the one that suits you best. You’ll need it to confirm transactions at the E-bank.

Using E-bank service hereinafter, you will be asked to enter user code, password, which you changed using E-bank for the first time and code from authorisation tool – code card or code calculator.

Using your code card

  • The code card is only available to private individuals.
  • The code card can be used for transactions which do not exceed the sum of LVL 1,200 per day. If your transactions could exceed that daily sum, we recommend that you choose the alternative – the code calculator.
  • When you first receive your code card, please make sure that all of the codes upon it are clearly legible.
  • When the time comes to confirm a transaction, you will be asked to enter the relevant code from the code card.

Using your code calculator

  • The code calculator is intended to ensure secure E-bank transactions for private individuals and companies, and it is used to confirm transactions in the E-bank system. If your daily transactions amount to more than LVL 1,200, then we suggest that you use the code calculator. It can be used to authorise transactions with a total sum of as much as LVL 70,000 a day. If necessary, that sum can be increased.

Using E-banking services for the first time

  • Switch on the code calculator (the button with the triangle symbol on it).
  • Enter a PIN code of four digits that you have thought up yourself.
  • Re-enter the same PIN code to confirm it.
  • Start using your E-banking system.

Everyday use

  • Switch on the code calculator.
  • Enter your PIN code.
  • To confirm a transaction, enter the six-digit combination that is shown by the E-bank into the calculator. Then enter the six-digit combination that is shown on the calculator into the E-bank.

To change the PIN code on your code calculator

  • Turn on the code calculator.
  • Enter your existing PIN code.
  • Press the button with the triangle symbol and hold it down until the text ‘new PIN’ appears on the screen.
  • Enter the new PIN code.
  • Re-enter the new PIN code to confirm it.
  • The PIN code has been changed.

The authorisation tool will be blocked if

  • The wrong PIN code is entered into the code calculator three times.
  • The wrong code from the code card or code calculator is entered into the E-bank three times.

The authorisation tool can be unblocked at your nearest Danske Banka Customer Service Centre or by calling 67 959 599.

Should you lose your code card or code calculator, please inform the bank immediately on 67 959 599 (weekdays from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM).
