Danske Bank Included in the Reputation TOP 2011
For the third year in sequence Danske Banka has been included in the Reputation Top of Latvian Enterprises published by the newspaper „Diena” together with the public relations company Porter Novelli. Danske Banka has been ranked 137th, thereby retaining the result of the previous year. General public have ranked the Bank 134, whereas entrepreneurs have put the bank in place 136.
The first three places in the Reputation Top 2011 are taken by AS Laima, SIA Latvijas Mobilais Telefons and SIA Latvija Statoil. In all, the Reputation Top includes ten from banks operating in Latvia.
The Reputation Top of Latvian Enterprises is created on annual basis, by public opinion pooling of 1000 inhabitants and 400 enterprise management representatives. In the pooling, participants are asked to provide their opinion about the Latvian enterprises they would rank the highest in terms of reputation. This year also the head of Danske Banka Raivis Kakanis was asked to share his opinion for the purpose of the reputation survey.
The Latvian Enterprise Reputation Top was first created in 2005 and the methodology thereof was elaborated by the public relations company Porter Novelli in cooperation with the professor of the Riga School of Economics, social anthropologist Roberts Kilis and Finnish reputation research company Pohjoisranta. The ranking allows in depth understanding and measurement of reputation and is serving as a guideline for establishing reputation.
The reputation top includes 150 enterprises, whereof first 100 automatically qualify for the next year, whereas 50 new enterprises are selected based on their turnover and publicity.
