Danske Banka study: safety is the most important to depositors
Danske Banka has undergone a survey on the depositing habits of its customers with regard the purpose and the term of deposits. Customers already having a term deposit or savings account with the bank were inquired. The answers given by the respondents prove that currently the most important is the security aspect - 50% of the surveyed indicated that they make savings to have additional security and to insure against unforeseen events whereas 10% of the respondents answered that they make deposits for the purpose of gaining profit and 8% were making savings for old age.
In the first half of the year the amount of deposits attracted by Danske Banka had increased by 124% in comparison to the respective period of the previous year, by reaching 114 million lats. According to the study conducted by the bank, the main factors ensuring such sharp raise of the amount of deposits attracted were the reputation of the bank, guarantees for depositors provided for on the basis of the Danish law and competitive interest rates. The customers of the bank have also appreciated the high credit rating assigned to the Danske Bank Group. More than half of the respondents, i.e. 54% asserted that the grounds for entrusting their savings to Danske Banka were trust in the Bank and the guarantees to depositors provided by Denmark.
Considering the increasing interest of customers about various saving options, Danske Banka has introduced several improvements to the rendered services and functionality of E-bank.
By improving the functionality of the bank, more comprehensive account opening and electronic replenishment of the savings account possibilities have been ensured. Moreover, customers – private persons do not have to notify in advance about withdrawal of cash from the savings account – your deposit earns interest meanwhile you retain free access to your savings.
Besides, on the deposit term dates one can freely choose from among the latest innovations in deposit processing. Want to withdraw cash from your deposit a day before vacation? Deposit it for the respective number of days and receive the funds deposited directly on the indicated date. The minimum deposit term is 30 days.
